Snoopy, Pizza, Customer Relationships, and of course AI!
Florence, Italy April 2026

For people in the States the 3-Day weekend of Memorial Day is here, bringing the summer heat. We've had a bunch of great interviews and this quarter has been a turning point with AI automating some of the more annoying parts of my day (like going through corporate templates and call transcripts to put together scopes of work.)

Here's the most popular recent stuff, we also have to thank Incubeta for their support of the show, check out their latest research in the white paper below. If you need a premiere Global Google Partner, Incubeta has over 20 years of experience and offices all around the world.

I will be at Salesforce Connections in Chicago the first week in June, send a reply if you will too!

Thanks for listening,

JW

Discussion with Melissa Menta, Senior VP, Global Brand and Communications of Peanuts Worldwide

My personal favorite this newsletter was getting behind the scenes with Melissa Menta, steward of the Peanuts Gang brand. And then she melted my brain telling me that the Pets.com dog was Michael Ian Black. Get the full story here:

Melissa Menta, Peanuts Worldwide Senior VP, Global Brand and Communications talks to us about Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the Gang.

Is Your Marketing Performance Trapped in the "Confidence Paradox"?

New research from Incubeta highlights a growing disconnect in the industry: while 70.4% of marketing leaders are confident their budgets are deployed effectively, over 40% admit their investment isn't hitting its full potential.

In Incubeta's latest whitepaper, "The Marketer's Confidence Paradox" they explore this phenomenon and more, and provide a roadmap to help organizations bridge the gap, eliminate hidden inefficiencies, and build integrated systems that drive real commercial impact.

8 Years Later, Greg Poirer Returns for a Victory Lap to Talk About The Successful Acquisition of CloudKettle

A little over 10 years ago Greg set out to build a successful Salesforce.com consultancy. Even after being acquired he's continuing the work:

A Victory Lap with Greg Poirier! - Marketing Over Coffee Podcast
Greg is back to talk about being acquired, the future of Salesforce, implementing AI, and more on this Marketing Over Coffee!

Virtual Bike riding also comes up as a topic! The Zwift season may be wrapping up now that it's warm enough to ride outside but do give me a follow on Strava, I'm a guaranteed Kudo for you.

Gearwatch: DJI OSMO Mobile 8

It's insane to me that for less than $150 you can turn your phone into a steadicam. If you shoot video the latest version has a bunch of upgrades I'm loving including integrated tripod, telescoping handle, detachable LED light and microphone module. Definitely worth taking for a spin. And for eagle eyed readers, I'll be getting rid of the one I've upgraded from. If you sign up for the MoC text line at 617-812-5494 and tell me you want it I'll ship it domestic US. Outside the US you'll have to chip in.

Where's the Dividing Line Between the Roles we Play and the Real Us?

The Hulk Hogan documentary on Netflix is 4 episodes, the first 3 covering the cultural wave that was Hulkamania. But the 4th and final episode can be watched freestanding and has a bunch of greek tragedy elements and asks a bunch of questions about identity and legacy. And the insanity that goes around getting 10 back surgeries. This is obviously a "you love it or hate it" but just in case this is news to somebody here's the trailer to learn more.

It's been a crazy few weeks! Oh, and I also wanted to mention the Trust Insights Prompt Playbook for you to get more out of your AI work. I hope you're doing well, don't be afraid to reply here or check in on one of the socials. Until next time!
